Carrie Doll


Carrie Doll grew up CFRN News. As far back as she can remember, CFRN News was a part of her family,.. echoing through her home everyday at 6 p.m. Today, Carrie is proud BE a part of CTV News family. She often jokes that she has 10 brothers and sisters,.. and many extended family members at CTV.

Born and raised in Fairview, Alberta, Calgary ventured off to Calgary to pursue her post-secondary education. She graduated with a degree in Communications and a Minor in Latin American Studies from the University of Calgary. She also holds a diploma with Honors in Broadcast News from SAIT. After graduating, Carrie did her internship at an ABC Affiliate in Lubbock Texas.

Her career officially began at CTV in Yorkton, Sask., where she worked as a noon anchor and began her own health segment. Furthering her passion for health and fitness, Carrie moved to Lethbridge to work as a producer of the 6pm news, as well as an anchor and health reporter for CISA Television. In 1997, she made her first appearance at CTV Edmonton as the Medical Watch reporter and noon news anchor. Three years later, she moved to Calgary to co-anchor the noon and 5 p.m. news. She rejoined the CTV news team in Edmonton a year later to co-anchor the CTV news at 6 p.m.

Carrie believes in giving back to her community and that's why she's so dedicated to her charity events. She is the honorary chair of the CIBC Run for the Cure and also mc's a number of events with the Alberta Chapter of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. She's also involved in Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation, the YWCA Women of Distinction Awards and the Lois Hole Hospital for Women and the Sunrise Rotary Club's "Dancing for the Kids" event. Carrie also dedicates her
time to mentorship and guest speaking in local schools and organizations.

During her years as a journalist, there have been many career highlights. Among them, a one-on-one interview with former US President Bill Clinton in front of 10-thousand people at Rexall Place, and an opportunity to watch Dr. Ivan Rebeyka perform life saving open heart surgery, on a tiny baby.

In 2005 Carrie was honored as one of our provinces top 100 citizens as part of the Centennial Awards. She was also named Woman of the Year in 2005 and received a Can Pro Award for the best News Documentary in Canada in 2000.

Carrie maintains her greatest achievement in life so far is becoming a mother to her son Kasha. Together with her husband Stephen, the three of them love to travel, and spend time outdoors together.

Erin Isfeld

Erin Isfeld brings her vast experiences and passion for news to
Edmontonians as a Reporter, Weekend Anchor and the force behind CTV Edmonton's newest segment, "That's Edmonton".

Erin is a graduate of Ryerson Polytechnic University's Journalism
program in Toronto. She started her career in Winnipeg before making the move to the City of Champions in June 2005.

But for Erin, the most rewarding part of the job is meeting the memorable people of Edmonton and sharing their unforgettable stories and remarkable energy. When she isn't busy chasing down a story, Erin's busy exploring the spirit of her community. She's a dedicated volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, working as an ambassador for the charity's "Women Build". Erin also sits on the board for Ronald McDonald House.

Kat BrandonKat Brandon

Inspirational speaker, pageant winner, media personality, and inventor of sparkling new words like "swingdingled", Kat Brandon has done it all, and sheÕs just getting warmed up.

Show business is something of a manifest destiny for Kat who is the "buzz around town".

As sheÕs fond of saying, she was born with a microphone in her hand, along side her twin sister, Maria.

This drive has helped carve a niche for her over the years as a friendly voice on the radio, a familiar face on stage and television, and a recognizable name in newspapers and magazines.

How many people can say theyÕve cooked in the kitchen with Martin Yan, talked literature with Margaret Atwood, shared the stage with Tim McGraw, or emceed Edmonton OilersÕ games?

Kat is also a show host for major venues, such as Big Valley Jamboree, Northlands Northern Star Talent Search, and Country Star Search just to name a few.

KatÕs greatest accomplishment is her twelve-year-old son Levi-Starr.
